Makalali is renowned for hosting events with a difference and the Tandane camp offers a group entertainment / conference centre. This conference facility is situated within close proximity to all our camps and comprises a thatched conference area, outdoor veranda, bandstand, public toilet and kitchen. Whether it’s a small conference, private dining, strategy session or a romantic wedding, we have the expertise and beautiful location to ensure that you will have a memorable event. We pride ourselves on going “the extra mile’ and creating unique settings, from flame torches which create a mystical and fiery African ambience at night.

Tandane Camp

Tandane means “place of love”.  The centre consists of a unique thatch-covered main building, an open kitchen and entertainment area. This is Makalali’s conference venue and ideal for conferences, private dining, weddings, gala events, etc.  The use of flame torches creates a mystical and fiery African ambience at night.

Standard conference package includes:

• Welcome drinks served on arrival
• Tea, coffee and snacks served during conference sessions
• 3 Meals daily
• 2 Game drives daily

Conference equipment includes:

• Slide projector with remote
• Portable screen
• Overhead projector
• White board
• Flipchart
• Television set
• VCR
